TRAINING PROGRAM

Themes, that we will cover in the coaching.

  • What does "high performance" mean to you ?

    You will create your own definition of what high performance means to you personally. This definition will serve as a north star to guide you on your path to success throughout the program and in other areas of your life.

  • This module focuses on defining personal values and setting goals.

    You'll understand which values are important to you, how to effectively set goals, and how to create routines that align with your values and goals.

  • In this module we will focus on what an effective volleyball mindset is and how it affects your thinking, communication and behaviour.

    In part two, we'll discover your unique character and find ways you can live more authentically. At the same time, you'll learn what character traits the best athletes in the world share.

  • This module explores the concept of mindfulness and mental flexibility - the ability to adapt to any situation.

    You will learn techniques to improve focus, manage unhelpful thoughts and emotions and understand the importance of mindfulness in managing pressure, increasing performance and maintaining mental wellbeing.

SPECIALIZED COOPERATION FOR VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS

I want to bring a new and proven approach in the form of "mentoring", which is different from traditional sports psychology or mental training.

It is a long-term cooperation based on building a professional relationship and mutual trust. I will bring my experience in top volleyball and combine it with the latest trends in performance psychology.

We will focus on developing a winning mentality and an effective mindset as well as improving your mental skills. At the same time, we emphasize not only your mental performance, but also your mental well-being.

    • B.Sc. in Organizational Psychology with a focus on stressmanagement (Germany)

    • M.Sc. in Health Psychology and Prevention (Germany) - currently studying

    • Certification as a sports mental trainer in Germany

    • Mindfulness in Sport Lv. I and II

    • more than 5 years of experience as a mental trainer

    • cooperation with more than 120 youth and elite  athletes

    • 4-year cooperation with the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee

    • further cooperation with the Slovak Volleyball Federation or Allianz

  • Individual cooperation is recommended for youth and professional volleyball players with the highest ambitions.

    Why the highest ambitions?

    Because the only thing I can't control is the intrinsic motivation to achieve great things in my sport. It is the mental side that we focus on in our collaborative work that makes the difference at the top of these performances.

    Since I can only work with a limited number of athletes during 1 year, the possibility of individual cooperation depends on the available capacity.

  • At the beginning, we'll have an introductory phone call to explain the whole process and how it works. I'll explain all the benefits and what we'll be looking forward to. We'll go over your sports calendar and adjust our goals for the next period.

    
During the initial months, we will focus on the basics of the concept. We will explain the theory based on interactive presentations. We'll discuss the topics of high performance, mind-set, and get to know your identity as an athlete better. Then I'll introduce you to the first mental techniques that you can try straight away in your training or everyday life.

    In the next course, we will focus on training your focus and attention. We'll expand on mental techniques that you'll be able to further test in practice or competition. Then, throughout the season, we'll fine-tune and adapt to all your individual needs to build your mental performance and well-being.

  • Cooperation is set at minimum one season or calendar year.

    As this is a long term concept of cooperation, some of the collaborations have been going on for more than 5 years. My intention is to show that mind-sets need to evolve throughout a career and therefore I have set only a limited number of collaborations per year.

  • The concept of mentoring is based on building an equal relationship and mutual trust.

    Goal is not to lecture you, but rather to give you advice and information on how you can improve. In doing so, I draw on my own experience as a professional athlete and combine it with the latest trends in performance psychology or mental health.

  • Since the development of mind-set and focus is a similar process to the development of ability or physicality,I cannot answer this question unequivocally. It is particularly challenging since we cannot see the psyche externally. That is why your individual perception of change is most important.

    However, I can tell you from experience that the first effect happens after 6-8 sessions, as you understand how your mind works and how you can influence it. This is the first impulse, which is just a start to further development and training.

    Every 2-3 months during the collaboration we will do a progress screening and you will find out for yourself how your perception and coping with pressure situations has changed.

    Especially in the 2nd year/season, collaboration can be even more productive as you will already understand the basics and the concept. This way we can increase the focus on training camps, character development and competition preparation.

  • As part of the cooperation you will receive from me absolute support on your journey to success. I will stand behind you and support you in the good times, but especially in the hard times.

    In doing so don't waitto motivate you. Intrinsic motivation is something that I cannot control. Also, we will not look at critical situations or losses in a positive way.

    Rather I wantto look for solutions in every situation, and we will build that you will be able to adapt to the situation - no matter how difficult it is.

    During the cooperation, I will try to make sure that we build mutual trust a convictionthat you have the skills to handle pressure situations.

  • Collaboration is recommended for a minimum of one year as it is about building trust and a professional relationship.

    Still, you can collaborate at any time at the end of the month end.
